Little Tony's Pizzeria began in 1961 in Columbus Ohio by Tony DeMatteo. Using old world recipes that were given to him by his mother, in 1966 he opened Little Tony's in Plain City Ohio.
The Little Tony's in Plain City was operated by Dave and Rick DeMatteo and later purchased by them. In 1977 younger brother Tom DeMatteo and his wife Kathy purchased Little Tony's in Plain City and operated it until 1996 at which time it was sold. Missing their way of life in the pizza business, Tom and Kathy began building Little Tony's Pizzeria with the help of their sons Josh and Dustin at 900 Columbus Ave in Marysville, Oh in 1999. Little Tony's thrived and in 2005 expanded to include a full service dining room and bar. In 2008 wanting to retire, Tom and Kathy sold Little Tony's. Once again missing their business, in 2009 they repurchased Little Tony's in Marysville. Little Tony's in Marysville is now operated by their children Joshua, his wife Melinda, and Dustin DeMatteo. Joshua and Dustin are third generation in the pizza business so stop in and visit the DeMatteo family, from pizza to stromboli taste what a difference our Italian heritage makes!
